Municipal Gallery of Kfar Sava

In 2017, the Municipal Gallery of Kfar Sava approached the studio with a request for a design collaboration aimed at repositioning the gallery as a space for high-quality contemporary art, showcasing respected and thought-provoking artists.

The gallery presents both solo and group exhibitions by leading figures in the Israeli art scene: veteran artists with extensive bodies of work alongside emerging voices exploring new and sometimes unconventional practices. Each year, the gallery hosts approximately four exhibitions, spanning a wide range of media – from photography and video to painting, sculpture, installation, and performance.

For each exhibition, the studio designed a complete visual suite: catalogue, poster, digital invitation, wall texts, and artwork labels. The production budget for the catalogues was modest and fixed, requiring the studio to develop creative, resourceful solutions – transforming budget constraints into an opportunity for material experimentation and inventive design. The visual language developed over the years relied on consistent elements – grid, color palette, and typography – while each exhibition featured a unique typographic unit that defined its individual identity, maintaining a cohesive and recognizable style.

The ongoing collaboration between the studio and the gallery reshaped the gallery’s visual presence in the public realm, distinguishing it within the local urban landscape – and extending its visibility and recognition beyond the city itself.
