Newton is a nationwide network of kindergartens that has set its goal to be the highest-quality private kindergarten network in Israel. The primary mission of the network is to provide every child with an optimal foundation for growth and development while serving as a distinguished educational and community-oriented institution. This is achieved through an innovative and professional management approach. Currently, the network operates around seven kindergartens across the country and is expanding rapidly.
For over a year, we have been working with Newton on a comprehensive branding process, which included rebranding both the company’s headquarters and its kindergartens – Newton Kindergartens in Hebrew and CityKids, which operates in English.
The process and the design were guided by the desire to create a unique and cohesive visual language that strengthens the sense of belonging and connection between the kindergartens, parents, and children. This language also effectively communicates the network’s values in a dynamic and engaging manner for both young and adult audiences.
We developed a rich visual identity that was implemented across all network assets – both marketing and spatial – including the design of a functional wayfinding system for the kindergartens and an experiential design for classroom walls and communal spaces. These designs were carefully tailored to meet the pedagogical and community needs of each kindergarten. The selection and design of furniture and visual elements were based on considerations of high functionality and modularity while ensuring an aesthetic that fosters a supportive and growth-oriented environment. Designing educational spaces presents many challenges – not only in terms of aesthetics and functionality but also in leveraging visual resources to create a complex and enriching educational experience.
We continue to accompany the network as brand managers, overseeing the definition of user experience processes and their implementation at every stage – from graphic design to the strategic branding of all company-related products. Every step in the process is designed to convey the network’s values to its users and strengthen the emotional and community bond with children and parents, all while maintaining uncompromising quality, professionalism, and innovation.
