Giist is a peer-driven community of independent product managers – consultants, fractional PMs, and senior product leaders working across startups, scale-ups, and global organizations. It brings together experienced professionals who choose to work independently while maintaining high standards of practice, leadership, and impact.
Our work began with an in-depth naming process. We searched for a word that could express selectivity without exclusivity, clarity without simplification, and confidence without hierarchy – a name that would describe not what the community does, but what it is. The name Giist is rooted in the word gist – the distilled core, the essential idea, the part that truly matters. It reflects a shift from describing activity to defining value.
From there, the brand system evolved from its internal logic. The visual language draws inspiration from raw materials and minerals – elements that exist before form, yet carry inherent value. Molecular structures and modular connections inform the graphic patterns, while color gradients allow the system to adapt across contexts and formats without losing coherence.
The result is a visual identity that feels discovered rather than decorated – structured, flexible, and confident. Designed to operate seamlessly across digital and physical environments, the Giist identity reflects our approach to branding: starting with meaning, shaping language, and building systems that endure.
