Mazeh 9

The Youth House of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality

Mazeh 9 is the Youth House of the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality, which in 2022 expanded its premises to include the adjacent building, Mazeh 7. The two buildings are a pair of historic structures, over 100 years old, with a shared courtyard. Originally designed by architect Yosef Berlin and engineer Richard Pasovsky, the buildings underwent renovation and preservation under the design of Amit Namlich Architects.

In this unique space, and as part of creating a complete experience within the environment, we have infused each floor with its own distinctive use and character. The furniture was carefully selected, including custom-designed pieces, with special attention given to the dynamic usage of the various spaces and the diverse, vibrant activities that take place throughout the building.

The furniture details and the characterization of each space are aligned with the ongoing branding and the creation of a signage and visual communication system that tells the building’s story from its early days to the present. This system not only conveys important messages but also offers a contemporary user experience for the youth of the city, tailored to their needs. The building remains an integral landmark in the urban landscape.
